Assistant Project Manager

Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in project management?

The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. This client-facing role requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer engagement, and technical training.

Essential Job Functions

1. Assist in estimating project scope and costs
2. Manage projects with subcontractors
3. Communicate with clients and subcontractors
4. Attend and participate in project meetings as requested
5. Research and prepare change requests to resolve design issues
6. Recommend solutions to design document problems
7. Monitor field and contract work for compliance
8. Assist with the submittal process
9. Assist in tracking and completing billing

Required Education & Experience

• College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
• Understanding of electrical installations
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial construction or contracting
• Electrical project management experience
• Familiarity with computer-based estimating
• Knowledge of billing and collections
