Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Assistant Project Manager to join our Strategic Enterprise Solutions (SES) Team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports your growth as Convergint grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in our Recruit Awesome People program by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent.
  • Serve as a key interface with local Convergint Specialists and Project Management to ensure project execution aligns with requirements.
  • Coordinate with customers to maximize satisfaction.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule, documenting all change orders and costs.
  • Identify potential risks and help develop strategies to mitigate them, including managing deviations from estimates and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic project management experience in technical environments such as building automation, fire alarm, or electronic security systems.
  • Developing financial management skills for projects.
  • Leadership qualities: acting as a role model, guiding, developing, and mentoring others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

Education: College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience (not required):

  • 3-5 years in engineering, field service, or project management.
  • Experience in industries like electronic security, fire/life safety, building automation, or healthcare.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
