Electrical Assembler I
Location: Manchester, IA, USA - Onsite
Responsibilities
- Perform basic electrical assembly tasks including soldering, hardware installation, and post coating under close supervision.
- Inspect own work to ensure compliance with workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications.
- Meet productivity expectations to satisfy customer deadlines.
- Adhere to all Raytheon Technologies rules and regulations, including Environmental Health & Safety, Ethics & Compliance, Quality, and attendance.
- Participate in cost‑reduction plans, continuous‑improvement plans/events, and audits.
- Maintain materials, equipment, and the work area clean and orderly.
- Report progress and updates to lead or supervisor.
- Complete additional tasks within the scope and skill level of this job description to support department objectives and develop skills.
Qualifications – Must Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to follow assembly instructions.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail for safety and quality.
- Organizational skills and ability to multi‑task.
- Ability to stand for the duration required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Complete training modules associated with the job grade.
- Work effectively in a repetitive job environment.
- Intermediate computer skills (typing, navigating screens, learning new software).
Employment Details
- Hours: Monday‑Friday, 2:00PM – 10:00PM (flexible start window).
- Training: 7:00AM – 3:00PM for approximately two weeks.
- Pay: $21.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift differential for second shift hours (total $22.00/hr).
- Safety Requirement: This role is safety‑sensitive per FAA guidelines. Candidates subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40.
