Job summary

Ashton North LLC seeks an Electrical Application Engineer to bridge engineering, sales, product development, and customers across industrial markets. You will design, configure, and support solutions from concept through field deployment, collaborating with sales and engineering teams to address challenging field issues.

You will troubleshoot, document, and train customers while evaluating new products for field readiness, with travel to customer sites and occasional international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of technical field, applications engineering, or similar hands-on experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies, industrial monitoring, electronics, and networks.
• Knowledge of Modbus, 4–20mA, relay logic, and common industrial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in company products, technologies, and applications.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and propose solutions.
• Translate needs into practical, manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products and systems for specific application requirements.
• Design customized solutions using internal and third‑party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support product selection.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact through sales and installation.
• Communicate capabilities and concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create drawings, documentation, specs, and training materials.
• Support design, testing, verification, installation, commissioning, startup.
