Job summary

Hinterland Group seeks an Electrical APM to support the Project Manager, electrical qualifier, and crew through bidding, setup, and execution. You will assist with bid preparation, manage submittals, track permit status, coordinate inspections and FPL scheduling, and procurement to keep projects on schedule and well documented.

The role emphasizes hands-on coordination across bid, design, and field activities, requiring 5+ years in electrical construction or PM and familiarity with underground

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical construction or project management experience.
• Underground Electrical Distribution experience required.
• Water and wastewater electrical construction experience required.
• Journeyman license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bidding: prepare bid packages and proposals, track bid dates and ensure timely submission of components.
• Prepare, track, and manage submittals (product data, shop drawings, samples) and obtain approvals.
• Track permit status from application through final approval with AHJ coordination.
• Schedule electrical inspections and coordinate with PM and field crew.
• Assist with job set-up at kickoff and closeout documentation.
• Update weekly schedules and coordinate electrical crew start dates with PMs.
• Procure materials, track orders and lead times to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide general administrative support to PM and electrical department.
• Attend weekly Estimating and PM Scheduling meetings.
