Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs across service centers and field locations in Minnesota. The role requires teamwork, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to travel to production sites as needed.

You will diagnose and repair Rivian electric vehicles, documenting work thoroughly and maintaining safety. Room for growth across seniority levels is offered in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record for 3–5 years.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Identify and explain Rivian product lines, EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement to senior technicians or leadership.
• Support service campaigns and containment initiatives.
• Document all work and technical notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team and maintain high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Stay current with technical skills and required training.
