Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to join the Electric Service Support Center in Connecticut. You will process requests for new installs, upgrades, and removals of electric service for residential and commercial customers, ensuring complete information and timely processing.

You will serve as the primary contact for customers, contractors, and municipal officials, provide upfront cost estimates, and coordinate inspections, prepayments, and contributions in aid of

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of related education/training and/or related experience.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• Experience with electrical service requests and utility projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information for the design and construction of the service request and respond to customer questions, including technical requirements for electric service connections, schedule dates, inspection requirements, and licensing/easement requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact and advocate for the customer, contractor, and municipal officials.
• Provide applicable upfront cost estimates.
• Process electrical inspections, prepayments, and contributions in aid of construction from customers.
• Handle certain non-design job types from initiation to completion.
• Interact with Engineering, Electric Operations, Customer Billing Services, and Remittance Services.
• Support updating work requests with field notes, customer appointments, and progress.
• Work an emergency storm assignment as required.
