Job summary

City of Lampasas is seeking an Electric Groundman to assist in building and maintaining power systems, ensuring outages are minimized and customers receive courteous service. The role reports to the Electric Crew Supervisor and is non-supervisory.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Texas Class C driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within a year. Outdoor work with varied hours and random drug testing are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Texas Drivers' License Class C.
• Ability to obtain a valid Texas CDL Class B within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Supports Lineman employees.
• Cleans utility trucks.
• Stocks utility trucks with materials, poles, and transformers.
• Assembles electric apparatus.
• Sends materials up pole using hand line.
• Pulls up service wire on hand line.
• Digs and fills holes.
• Cuts and hauls brush.
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
