Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Groundman to support our overhead distribution crews building, repairing and maintaining power lines. You will report to the Foreman and participate in a safety-first team environment.

This entry-level position emphasizes physical work, readiness for out-of-state travel and on-call outages, with CDL within 60 days and overtime as required. Comprehensive benefits accompany the role to support employees and families.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required or able to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, repair and maintenance of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be prepared for outages and on-call rotations.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and safe handling of equipment.
