Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of State is seeking an Elections Analyst 1 to support election operations across the state. You will work with county election offices, assist users with election systems, and help improve tools that support voters and staff.

This role combines data analysis, training, testing, and collaboration with internal teams. Telework is possible part-time, three days in the office, with in-state location requirements; weekend or urgent requests may arise

Qualifications

• One year of professional experience evaluating public programs or information technology systems.
• A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, political science, or information technology.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Respond to support requests from county election offices, voters, and Department of State staff, maintain support tickets, and elevate issues when needed
• Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions and create presentations, tutorials, manuals, and other learning resources for users
• System Testing: Develop testing plans, participate in user acceptance testing, and support election-related testing and auditing activities
• Requirements Analysis: Gather information through research, interviews, surveys, and collaborative sessions to identify system needs and improvements
• Process Improvement: Recommend changes to business processes, procedures, and information systems that support program and training goals
• Data Reporting: Maintain databases and spreadsheets, collect and analyze information, and prepare reports, charts, tables, and graphs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, public policy, political science, or information technology
