Job summary

Tarrant County College seeks a Supervisor to oversee Voting Equipment Technicians, schedule workload, and manage election logistics for all elections. The role includes staffing, training, and coordinating with County Elections to ensure secure, reliable voting equipment and timely deliveries.

The position requires an Associate’s degree and 3 years of related experience (elections or warehouse), plus a driver license and potential certification in election equipment functionality and software.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and three years related (elections or warehouse) experience.
• Background in relational databases preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid and current driver license required.
• Ability to obtain certification in election equipment functionality and software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Voting Equipment Technicians and subordinate staff, providing training and guidance.
• Plan and assign daily workload for Operations to meet election deadlines.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide development and motivation; make hiring recommendations.
• Record and track maintenance of voting equipment and department vehicles.
• Requisition trucks, vans and temporary staff for election logistics.
• Assist with election activities and troubleshoot voting equipment procedures.
• Participate in testing of voting equipment (pre/post/public testing).
• Submit requisitions for equipment and supplies and track deliveries.
• Oversee preparation, proofing, assembly and delivery of election supply kits.
• Provide reports to managers and supervisors as required.
• Enforce procedures and perform quality checks; coordinate with other areas to improve performance.
• Act as liaison between County Elections, political parties, and related entities.
• Serve as first-level staff resource and, in absence of Manager, be point-of-contact with Facilities.
• Contribute input for department budget related to voting equipment and supplies.
• Ensure security of in-person voting equipment and results files.
