Job Description

Part-Time Logistics and Hardware staff provides general manual labor support to the Elections Department’s Logistics and or Hardware divisions. The position works primarily in one of two (2) air-conditioned warehouses on the Department’s campus. The position helps to prepare, stage, ship, receive back, and account for supplies and equipment used during elections.

Logistics and Hardware staff may also be required to drive large vans and/or delivery vehicles. The position may also be required to safely operated warehouse equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts. Position requires lifting, pushing, pulling, outdoor and indoor work, and frequent long hours during election periods.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience working in a warehouse and logistics environment.
• Valid drivers license and good driving record are required.
• Selectee must submit to and pass a comprehensive background verification. Person hired for this position is subject to updated verification and Dallas County’s random substance testing.
