Job summary

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an Education Program Specialist for the Office of English Language Acquisition Services (OELAS) in Phoenix. The role focuses on guiding LEAs in implementing Language Development Approach and SEI models to meet state and federal mandates.

You will develop professional development for EL instruction and support EL programs statewide. Hybrid work is available with remote work up to two days per week; travel within Arizona and some out-of-state travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Education or related field required.
• SEI/ESL/BLE endorsement or SEI coursework required.
• Experience teaching or administering EL programs preferred.
• Ability to travel within state and some out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development on SEI models and ELP standards.
• Complete statewide evaluation and monitoring of programs and prepare reports.
• Support LEAs in implementing Title III/EL program guidance and regulations.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with ADE divisions on projects.
• Uphold departmental policies and procedures and communicate findings.
