Job summary

The Arizona Department of Education seeks an Education Program Specialist for OELAS to guide LEAs in SEI model implementation and language development initiatives. This role develops and delivers professional development for EL instruction, ensures program compliance, and supports cross-divisional collaboration.

Hybrid work with up to two remote days, occasional travel within-state and out-of-state is required, and a bachelor’s in education or related field is required with SEI endorsement

Qualifications

• Experience guiding LEAs in implementing SEI models and LDA.
• Knowledge of AZ ELP standards and state/federal requirements.
• Experience developing and delivering professional development for EL instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional development on SEI models and ELP standards.
• Conduct statewide evaluation and reporting for EL programs.
• Support LEAs in complying with Title III and state regulations.
• Serve on tasks forces and cross-divisional projects.
• Coordinate with ADE divisions on program activities.
• Attend meetings and present data-driven updates.
