Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is seeking an EHSS Manager to maintain environmental, safety and regulatory compliance at the plant level. You will lead EHSS procedures, training and incident investigations, working closely with the VP of EHSS and Plant Manager to promote a zero-harm environment.

You may direct EHSS Specialists, handle audits, prepare regulatory reports, and drive improvements with production teams. This is a full-time role requiring travel and hands-on presence in the facility.

Qualifications

• Commitment to employee safety, health and environmental compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field required.
• 5 years of EHSS experience, preferably in management.
• Proven ability to organize and lead people and projects.
• Some travel is required, seasonally, to support growth and development.
• Working knowledge of Title V, NPDES, SWPPP, SPCC, PSM, OSHA standards, air, water and waste regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility air and water permits and regulatory records.
• Conduct EHSS training per regulatory requirements.
• Promote EHSS awareness at the plant and monitor compliance.
• Lead the EHSS committee and communicate with its members.
• Implement policies to exceed regulatory requirements.
• Investigate EHSS incidents and implement containment actions.
• Maintain regulatory records for state and federal inspections.
• Submit required regulatory and internal reporting on time.
• Maintain EHSS supplies and PPE inventory.
• Support improvements with production/maintenance teams.
