Job summary

Green Plains Inc. is hiring a Corporate Safety Manager to lead the EHSS program across plant locations and corporate teams. You will report to the VP of Environmental, Health, Safety and Security and drive continuous improvement in safety performance while ensuring regulatory compliance and training across facilities.

You will guide risk assessments, incident response, and corrective action implementation, fostering a no-harm culture and strong safety leadership throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Safety or related fields.
• 10+ years’ experience in EHSS department or related field, including 5+ years in a senior leadership position leading Safety program(s).
• Travel will be expected monthly – up to 20-30% of the time.
• Proven skills and experience in all aspects of project and change management.
• Ability to directly impact the well‑being of our employees and communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate EHSS program to drive continuous safety performance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and corporate standards.
• Coach site teams on risk prevention and safety culture.
• Oversee training, incident response, and corrective action closure.
• Coordinate risk assessments and mitigation across biorefinery facilities.
• Partner with legal and other departments on regulatory matters.
