Job summary

Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC is seeking an EHS Training & Compliance Coordinator to advance environmental, health, and safety performance across the plant operations. The role focuses on developing and maintaining training and safety programs, including OSHA and Rail certifications, process safety management, and incident prevention.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in a safety related program or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in professional safety/loss control preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA and applicable regulatory agencies.
• Ability to train on safety and environmental training topics at all levels of the organization.
• Must be a self-starter, highly organized; able to work well within all levels in the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; has good public relations skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide OSHA required mobile equipment training to all employees.
• Provide required Rail training to employees that would include each aspect of Rail Operations.
• Serve as Lead Evaluator for mobile equipment and rail certifications.
• Create training classes for Mobile Work Elevated Platform certification.
• Create, schedule, and provide Process Safety Management Training to each Plant.
• Create and provide Train the Trainer classes for all Managers and EHS staff.
• Create and provide EHS Hand-on Trainings on an annual basis.
• Coordinate with Departments Managers to identify future training needs and create a curriculum to facilitate that training.
• Create new and provides initial new-hire safety and contractor orientation training.
• Schedule Training Schedule for each Month/Year
• Organizes and develops training manuals, reference libraries, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
• Schedules, creates, documents and conducts OSHA compliance training
• Schedule all training for Glacial Lakes Energy employees
• Schedules and documents required Federal Railroad HazMat training
• Ensures all training and certifications for employees are tracked in SafetyAmp
• Schedules and provides 1 st Aid/CPR certifications and tracks for renewal
• Create Drills and Exercise that align with COOP policy
• Vet and hire 3 rd party Instructors when necessary
• Reviews and updates Glacial Lakes on all new OSHA regulations to ensure compliance
