Job summary

Emerson Electric Co is seeking an EH&S Specialist to partner with the plant manager in developing and implementing Environmental Health & Safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies. You will provide safety training, report incidents, and drive employee engagement initiatives.

The role includes assisting with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and tracking corrective actions, with a focus on continuous improvement and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a safety role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
• U.S. Persons only per policy.

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety policies and regulatory reporting.
• Assist investigations of incidents and unsafe conditions; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Engage in continuous improvement for audits and regulatory engagements (OSHA, EPA, state/local regs).
• Conduct routine safety observations to ensure policy compliance.
• Lead environmental program activities with support from consultants and plant personnel.
• Monitor atmosphere and hygiene compliance; stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Train employees on required EHS topics per regulatory bodies.
