Job summary

IPL Schoeller, Fairfield, CA, is seeking an EHS Specialist to support and enhance Environmental, Health & Safety programs at the facility. You will promote a safe workplace, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement with leadership collaboration.

You will implement EHS programs, deliver engaging safety training, conduct inspections, and assist with incident investigations. The role requires 2+ years in EHS, knowledge of safety systems, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety role.
• Working knowledge of EHS regulations and safety management systems.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS programs to support compliance and workplace safety.
• Deliver engaging safety training on procedures, emergency response, PPE, and environmental practices.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Maintain EHS documentation for audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
• Monitor training requirements and coordinate refresher programs.
• Maintain SDS and proper chemical labeling, storage, and disposal."
• Attend meetings to support site EHS objectives and KPI tracking.
