A forward-thinking company is seeking an EHS Specialist to conduct ergonomic evaluations and assessments. This hybrid role involves working both on-site and off-site, utilizing scientific methods to analyze workplace ergonomics and optimize safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will hold a BA in Engineering or Science and be certified as a Professional Ergonomist. You will be responsible for identifying ergonomic risks and providing actionable recommendations to enhance workplace efficiency. Location: West Point, PA
Duration: 5 Months with possibility of extension.
30 hours per week. Work can be split with on-site utilized for conducting assessments and off-site for compiling data and reports.
An Ergonomist, also known as a human factors specialist, is a professional who studies and designs systems, equipment, and workplaces to optimize human well-being, performance, comfort, and safety.
Ergonomic evaluations require a scientific and functional approach to developing solutions. The analysis involves using measurement tools such as digital video/pictures, weights and measures, and employee/supervisor surveys. Services are to be provided by a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or Ergonomic Expert overseen by CPE.
CIH Certified Industrial Hygienist and CSP-Certified Safety Professional credentials are a plus.
