Job summary

Veranova is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist II for our Devens, MA site. This on-site role develops and leads safety programs, partners with operations, and drives regulatory compliance. You will investigate incidents, deliver training, and foster a proactive safety culture.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or related field, 5+ years in EHS, strong communication, and knowledge of safety regulations; certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, engineering, science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an EHS related position.
• Knowledge of occupational safety regulations and risk assessment methods.
• Experience supporting or managing safety programs, inspections, and investigations.
• Strong communication and training skills; safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site safety programs, policies, and initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations with corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Manage contractor safety programs, onboarding and site requirements.
• Develop and deliver safety training on PPE, hazards, and emergencies.
• Support emergency drills and preparedness activities.
