Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an EHS Specialist in Abilene, TX for a 6-month full-time contract. You will develop safety programs, ensure OSHA compliance, and drive trainings across construction projects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction, a degree in an EHS field and/or BCSP certs, and experience with hazard mitigation and large-scale data center or cabling projects. This role emphasizes strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in the construction industry in a similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in an EHS discipline and/ or BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, or OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, and/or GSP
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs, conducting hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and Client's IIPP.
• Developing, implementing, and delivering safety and orientation training programs.
• Inspecting facilities to identify hazards and verify corrective actions.
• Maintaining safety documentation including audits, inspections, PTPs, JHAs, and SDSs.
• Participating in accident investigations and supporting materials for hearings and insurance cases.

Job description

Position type: Full-time Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Abilene, TX

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

As an EHS Specialist, you will be:

• Planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations and Client's Safety Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).


• Developing, implementing, and delivering safety and orientation training programs.


• Inspecting facilities to identify existing or potential hazards, recommends corrective measures, and verifies implementation.


• Maintaining safety documentation including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).


• Participating in accident and injury investigations and supports preparation of materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance cases.


• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization skills, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in the construction industry in a similar role.


• Bachelor's Degree in an EHS discipline and/ or BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, or OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, and/or GSP


• Experience developing and implementing safety programs, conducting hazard mitigation activities, and supporting large-scale construction projects

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with large, structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects


• Data Center Experience


• OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OSHA 10/30 Hour

Pay Range*: $35 - $44 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
