Innova Solutions is actively hiring a Facilities Technician in Clifton, NJ. The role covers maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, spanning mechanical, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades.

You will perform trades work for construction, repairs or alterations, and conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns. The candidate should be skilled at reading blueprints and diagrams, with the ability to work outdoors and indoors, lifting up to 45 pounds, and

Qualifications

• Maintains and repairs facility structure, equipment and grounds across mechanical, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades.
• Knowledge of applicable standards or regulations; may require specific trade certifications.
• Strong hands-on trade skills and problem-solving across multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform trades work such as carpentry or painting for construction, repair or alteration of structures.
• Inspect facilities, machinery and equipment to determine maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including LO/TO.

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Facilities Technician.

Position Type: Full time, Contract to Hire

Duration: 12 months

Location: Clifton NJ, 07014

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and over all "Jake of all trades/ Handyperson, Proficient in Lock-Out/ Tag-Out (LO/TO) Procedure."
• Physical requirements including climbing ladders, extended seating & standing or other physical efforts.
• Must have ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Will need to work outside, inside, walking building and grounds.
• Exposure to exterior elements including cold, wind and heat.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $35 to $40 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
