Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an EHS leader to oversee Self-Perform Work safety programs across projects, partnering with SPW operations leadership to implement training, compliance activities and performance metrics that reduce risk and protect the workforce.

The role manages field EHS professionals, coordinates risk assessments and incident investigations, analyzes EHS data for continuous improvement, and ensures safety standards across SPW activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in construction EHS required, including experience supporting self-perform crews.
• Prior experience providing work direction or supervising EHS staff required.

Responsibilities

• Manages implementation of EHS programs and initiatives supporting SPW operations in alignment with regional and enterprise standards.
• Oversees EHS professionals supporting SPW crews; provides direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Partners with SPW superintendents, foremen, and operations leaders to integrate EHS planning into daily and look-ahead work activities.
• Reviews risk assessments, audits, and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to support safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Manages incident investigations and corrective action tracking; supports communication of lessons learned.
• Monitors and analyzes EHS performance metrics to identify trends and recommend risk mitigation actions.
• Coordinates SPW EHS training, onboarding, and competency verification for craft and field leadership.
