Job summary

Sila is seeking an EH&S Specialist to join the Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) team at our Moses Lake, WA site. Reporting to the EHS&S Site Manager, you will develop and implement fit-for-purpose compliance programs and risk-reduction strategies with cross-functional shop-floor teams.

You will drive incident investigations, CAPA actions, regulatory research, and data analytics to protect workers and the surrounding community while sustaining safe, compliant operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Health, Chemistry, or related.
• 2+ years EH&S program support in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong OSHA/EPA regulatory knowledge and standards.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with shop-floor teams.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office; EHS software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, updating, and supporting sitewide EHS&S policies, standards, work instructions, and training materials.
• Perform hazard assessments and recommend safety features to minimize exposure while maintaining compliance.
• Conduct employee exposure monitoring studies within training and qualification limits.
• Lead and support inspections, audits, near-miss reporting, and incident investigations; define corrective actions.
• Serve on the ERT as Safety Officer and participate in on-call rotation.
• Track and analyze event and near-miss trends to drive risk-mitigation measures.
• Research and analyze regulations to guide ongoing compliance efforts.
• Maintain EHS records, data, and audit-ready documentation; represent the team on safety committees.
