Job summary

Sila Nanotechnologies, Inc. is seeking an EH&S Specialist to join the EHS&S team at a fast-growing 24/7 manufacturing site. You will develop and implement sitewide safety programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and protect workers and the environment.

You will lead hazard assessments, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to continuous safety improvements while serving on the Emergency Response Team as Safety Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of EH&S program experience in manufacturing or chemical processing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state EHS regulations.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with EHS software.
• ASP or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and support sitewide EHS&S policies, standards, work instructions, and training.
• Perform hazard assessments and recommend safety features to reduce exposure.
• Conduct employee exposure monitoring for noise and airborne contaminants.
• Lead incident investigations and identify robust CAPA actions.
• Serve on the Emergency Response Team as Safety Officer.
• Analyze event trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through documentation and audits.
• Represent EHS&S on site safety committees and councils.
