Job summary

PipingRock Health Products, Inc. seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for our Washington locations.

You will lead safety and environmental strategies, align site goals with company objectives, and drive continuous improvements to protect people and product quality. You will develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead training and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering, health & safety or related course of study is required.
• An experience level of five (5) to ten (10) years working in a similar capacity within a manufacturing environment or the equivalent combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skill, and abilities needed to perform the job required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOP, company policies, safety policies and practices, GMP.
• Promote a safe culture and awareness within their area at all times.
• Develop practical safety programs applicable to different work areas.
• Is on-call and available for off-hour calls and responses.
• Manage and implement Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
• Maintain a working knowledge of environmental & safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain and improve environmental & safety programs for the facility.
• Ensure environmental permits are maintained and regulatory reports submitted on-time.
• Oversee the implementation of TCPA and DPCC environmental programs.
• Ensure training is completed related to the work environment, including new employees.
• Ensure effective safety committees.
• Set departmental goals and site safety/environmental goals and drive the team to achieve them.
• Coordinate reporting of labor hours and injury/illness information with HR.
• Disseminate Right to Know information for all employees.
• Establish first aid capabilities or EMT service if remote.
• Monitor effectiveness of procedures for hazardous conditions and work practices.
• Conduct accident investigations in a thorough and timely manner.
• Assist HR on workers’ compensation claims management.
• Conduct frequent plant safety inspections and observe safe/unsafe behaviors.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and required.
