Job summary

Henry Schein, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist in Colorado to develop and implement policies, conduct inspections, and ensure OSHA and DOT compliance across warehousing and manufacturing operations.

The role includes incident investigations, training, recordkeeping, and regulatory liaison. Candidates should have 2–5 years of EHS experience, a relevant degree, and familiarity with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, DOT, IATA, IMO, and EPA requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of EHS experience in warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, medical device, or pharma industries.
• Experience with Cal/OSHA regulations and compliance programs.
• Experience with SDS programs and hazardous materials regulations.
• DOT hazardous materials shipping knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct routine onsite inspections of warehousing and manufacturing operations to identify hazards and ensure policy compliance.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and agency investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards including HazCom, PPE, Emergency Action Plans, and more.
• Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and SDS management access.
• Support hazardous materials shipping compliance with DOT, IATA, IMO regulations.
• Develop EHS awareness and training programs for employees.
• Serve as a technical resource on environmental, health, and safety matters.
• Travel 15-20% annually.
