Job summary

Artis BioSolutions seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across the organization, ensuring cGMP-ready compliance and a strong safety culture. You will partner with Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, Engineering, and Research to implement effective policies and training.

The role requires 5–8 years of progressive EHS experience in regulated environments, with strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field required; advanced degree may be preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive EHS experience in biotech/pharma or regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Massachusetts enviro & safety requirements, plus other federal/state/local regs.
• Experience supporting lab, manufacturing, and/or cGMP environments.
• Experience developing and implementing EHS programs, policies, procedures, and training.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company-wide EHS programs and training.
• Serve as primary EHS subject matter expert and work with site leadership to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEP and other regulations across the site.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, JHAs/JSAs, and ergonomic evaluations; recommend corrective actions.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs including new-hire, contractor, respiratory protection, and role-specific content.
• Oversee hazardous materials, chemical safety, hazardous waste, biosafety, and related compliance programs.
• Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and business continuity activities.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
