Elkay is seeking an EHS Manager for our Freeport, IL facility, with responsibility for developing and deploying safety, health, and environmental programs across multiple sites. The role requires travel to Lanark, IL (about 20%) and collaboration with site leadership to advance a culture of proactive safety and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in safety or environmental science and 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead safety programs, audits and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage safety programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, etc.) to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Manage workers’ compensation loss control, claims monitoring and early return-to-work.
• Investigate accidents, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver new hire safety orientation and ongoing EHS training.
• Lead safety committee activities and drive a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct internal EHS audits and track regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory testing and industrial hygiene tasks as assigned.
• Work with site leadership to ensure key EHS controls and timely action closure.
