Job summary

Atkore International is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Site Manager for our Harvey, IL facility, reporting to the Director of Operations. You will lead EHS compliance, develop programs, deliver training, manage incidents, and coordinate with corporate teams to meet regulatory and company standards.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing EHS, professional certification preferred, and a commitment to Atkore's core values.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five to eight years' experience in an EHS leadership role at a manufacturing facility.
• Professional certification in Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety and environmental management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to align with Atkore's Core Values: Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, maintaining records to support compliance.
• Develop and manage EHS policies and programs including OSHA, EPA, Title V, and wastewater reporting.
• Design and deliver safety training for managers and employees on topics like fire prevention and LOTO.
• Conduct inspections and audits; implement corrective actions and verify completion.
• Lead investigations of incidents and environmental events; implement root-cause actions.
• Prepare regulatory and incident reports for leadership and agencies.
• Administer Workers' Compensation program and coordinate with corporate resources.
• Maintain environmental permits, licenses, and regulatory filings.
• Coach and train personnel to strengthen EHS programs and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and analyze injury data to drive improvements.
• Serve as site contact for regulatory inspections and inquiries.
• Ensure alignment with corporate EHS standards and management systems.
• Manage first-aid, recordable, and lost-time injury cases; follow up as needed.
• Support EHS management systems and Lean Daily Management initiatives.
• Manage EHS-related contractors and projects to ensure compliance.
