Job summary

Versique Executive, Professional & Interim Recruiting seeks an experienced EHS Manager for our facility southwest of Minneapolis. The role plans, implements, and coordinates safety programs to reduce injuries and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations on air, water, and waste disposal.

The position entails managing a wastewater and water treatment program, coordinating inspections, and leading incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years related experience in wastewater and safety.
• Knowledge of MPCA, PSM, OSHA and MNOSHA regulations.
• Water/Wastewater Operators license and Hazardous Waste Training Certification for VSQG.
• Educational background in chemistry and biology.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication.
• Study and stay abreast of changes in local, state and federal programs and regulations.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develops, conducts, and oversees safety awareness training program for employees.
• Implements safety and environmental policies and procedures to comply with regulations.
• Conducts monthly safety & ergonomic inspections and follows up on improvements.
• Prepares and coordinates emergency planning for fire, severe weather, spills, etc.
