Job summary

Hunter Recruiting seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety programs across Madison and Solon, OH facilities. This hands-on role partners with operations and leadership to strengthen discipline and proactive ownership of safety.

You will steer OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance, training, and incident investigations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or chemical settings; Lean/CI experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of direct EHS experience in manufacturing or chemical environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, hazardous materials, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience conducting safety training, audits, investigations, and compliance programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical operational execution.
• Experience with SDS authoring, editing, and chemical labeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen safety programs and training across both facilities.
• Chair and facilitate safety committee meetings.
• Coordinate safety training including DOT, shipping, onboarding, and related compliance training.
• Drive proactive safety culture, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain SDS systems and chemical labeling; ensure labeling compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, permits, registrations, and documentation.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits; manage environmental reporting.
