Job summary

CertainTeed Siding is seeking an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and emergency response programs for the Hagerstown/Williamsport, MD site. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will drive a proactive safety culture, oversee OSHA/MOSH and EPA compliance, and coordinate training, audits, investigations, and risk reduction with hourly and supervisory teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety management in manufacturing, unionized, heavy industrial environment.
• 3–5 years of regulatory compliance, incident reduction, training, audits, and frontline engagement.
• Experience with environmental permitting/recordkeeping, SWPPP, SPCC, hazardous/universal waste, air/emissions, DOT/shipping, and regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, Management of Change, LOTO, electrical safety, machine guarding, contractor safety, emergency response, and industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety strategy across production, maintenance, warehousing, engineering, quality, and contractors.
• Own and sustain site safety programs, ProAct/behavior-based safety, 4ORMS, safe work procedures, safety committees, and frontline engagement.
• Develop and maintain compliance calendars, training matrix, certification tracking, audits, and annual EHS Plan.
• Serve as plant contact for OSHA/MOSH requirements and represent site in audits.
• Lead incident response, investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Create and verify risk assessments, JSAs, work instructions, MOC reviews, and LOTO/electrical safety expectations.
• Address site-specific hazards including extrusion, forklift traffic, heat stress, noise, chemicals, slips/trips/falls.
