Job summary

TekniPlex is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives across our manufacturing operations. You will develop programs, drive regulatory compliance, and promote a proactive safety culture that engages teams and reduces risk.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least ten years of progressive EHS leadership, with strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
• Ten years of progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing.
• Decision-making and execution in fast-paced operations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Experience with incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Experience with risk assessments and CAPAs.
• Experience developing and delivering safety training.
• Experience conducting EHS audits and compliance assessments.
• Ability to influence leaders and drive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS programs meeting federal, state, and local regs.
• Partner with plant leadership to implement safety strategies aligned with goals.
• Lead safety culture initiatives promoting engagement and ownership.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to reduce hazards.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Monitor safety metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance with required reporting.
• Deliver safety training programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Coordinate workers' comp claims and return-to-work processes.
• Serve as regulatory liaison during inspections and audits.
