Essential Personnel, Inc. is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety Leader to own the EHS strategy in a manufacturing facility. You will lead safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and drive a culture of safety across shifts and departments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 5+ years of manufacturing safety experience, with strong OSHA knowledge and hands-on training responsibilities. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and regulatory liaison responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of safety management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Experience developing and implementing safety programs and employee training.
• Strong investigation, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Lead and manage critical safety programs, including LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hazard Communication, PPE, Machine Guarding.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and JHAs.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training for new hires, ongoing employees, contractors, and other personnel.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for state, federal, and local regulatory agencies.
