Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Downey, CA based Lead Safety, Compliance & Environmental Programs to oversee all EHS initiatives across manufacturing and distribution. You will drive regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and RCRA, reduce incidents, and lead environmental programs including wastewater and stormwater management.

Strong training and leadership skills are essential. The role requires 6+ years of EHS experience in similar operations, a relevant bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 6+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial operations.
• High School Diploma with 9+ years of EHS experience considered.
• Strong background in OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA regulatory programs.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective action planning.
• Experience managing environmental programs such as wastewater and stormwater.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs for manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Develop and implement programs reducing workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks.
• Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Serve as facility SME for OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA and environmental regulations.
• Manage environmental compliance programs including wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials.
• Develop mitigation plans, perform risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver EHS training for employees and leadership teams.
• Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives.
• Coordinate regulatory interactions and permit applications.
• Track EHS metrics, dashboards, and compliance reporting.
