Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs in a food & beverage manufacturing facility. You will develop strategy, drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed EHS into daily operations across the site.

Responsibilities include training, audits, incident investigations, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, HR, legal, and engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive EHS experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional EHS certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent).
• Experience in food & beverage manufacturing; strong regulatory knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership.
• Maintain and test emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Supervise and mentor EHS staff or site-level coordinators (if applicable).
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, reporting, and follow-up actions.
• Support sustainability initiatives, environmental reporting, and climate-related disclosures.
• Lead facility audits, inspections, and assessments; identify gaps and drive CAPAs.
• Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Partner with operations, HR, legal, and engineering to embed EHS into daily processes.
• Serve as subject matter expert in environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and workplace safety.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, ISO 14001/45001, and applicable state/local regulations.

Job description

Our client is seeking an EHS Manager to lead the organization's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk, and strengthen a culture of safety and sustainability. This role is responsible for developing strategy, driving continuous improvement, and supporting safe, compliant manufacturing operations across the facility.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | Relocation Assistance: Yes

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–5:00PM

Please Note: Occasional domestic travel may be required
