Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Dixie-Jackson facility seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Leader to develop and oversee EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. The role reports to the plant manager and works with the leadership team to promote safety and environmental stewardship.

You will lead the EHS specialists and collaborate with Dixie divisional EHS leadership. The position emphasizes PBM culture, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety, Environmental, EHS, or Engineering OR four or more years of EH&S experience.
• Strong knowledge of EH&S regulations and best practices.
• Experience with OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Experience developing site regulatory compliance programs and training.
• Experience using and applying effective safety management systems.
• Experience leading, supervising or building capabilities in others.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership to reduce facility risk through objectives, strategies and measures.
• Manage EHS systems and processes for the facility, including compliance standards and risk management.
• Communicate safety vision and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Foster an environment where EH&S decisions are understood and integrated into operations.
• Drive continuous improvement using audits, investigations, metrics and regular reviews.
• Coach, mentor and develop safety team members.
• Own injury management and workers' compensation processes.
