Job summary

Sysco Denver seeks an EHS Leader to provide intermediate-level site EHS expertise, support field safety teams, and collaborate on global EHS initiatives. The role focuses on training, environmental compliance, health and safety, workers’ compensation, and contractor management across multiple sites.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in EHS or related field, 3+ years of experience, and ASP or equivalent certification preferred. Moderate travel and occasional work-from-home options are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, risk management, safety, industrial, quality or environmental engineering is required.
• 3+ years of EHS program management experience in large national or multi-site companies is required.
• ASP designation or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred; CSP/CIH and related certifications highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state/local EHS regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs to promote a world-class safety culture.
• Identify, assess, and control site-level hazards; lead incident investigations with root cause analyses.
• Deliver and track regulatory and Sysco training programs; identify gaps and improve compliance.
• Support workers’ compensation processes; promote safe return-to-work strategies.
• Partner with leaders to optimize EHS resources and drive continuous improvement.
• Design and implement standardized safety systems and environmental compliance initiatives.
