Job summary

Sysco is seeking an intermediate-level EHS professional to provide site EHS expertise across multiple business units. You will support field safety teams and partner with the EHS function to implement Sysco’s global EHS management system.

Responsibilities include executing injury prevention programs, hazard assessments, training, workers’ compensation support, and collaboration with leadership to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement across sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS program management experience with large national or multi-site companies.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, safety, risk management or related field.
• Master’s degree in EHS or related field preferred.
• ASP designation or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
• CSP, CIH or other recognized EHS certifications highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of federal, state and local EHS requirements and standards.
• Strong communication and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs to foster a world-class safety culture and minimize injury risk.
• Identify, assess and control site hazards, supporting incident investigations with root cause analyses.
• Deliver and track compliance training programs per regulatory and Sysco policies.
• Support workers’ compensation claims process and safe return-to-work efforts.
• Collaborate with leaders to manage EHS resources, projects and decisions.
• Provide input on standardized safety systems, policies, training and campaigns.
• Support environmental compliance and related claims programs.
