Job summary

Sysco is seeking an intermediate-level EHS professional to provide site-level expertise across multiple business units and collaborate with the field safety team to implement Sysco's global EHS management system.

The role emphasizes executing EHS processes including trainings, environmental compliance, occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, and contractor management to identify and control hazards and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, risk management safety/industrial/quality/environmental engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree with related EHS focus preferred.
• 3+ years of EHS program management experience in large national or multinational companies with multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Execute injury prevention programs and promote a world-class safety culture.
• Identify, assess, and control site-level hazards and support incident investigations with root cause analyses.
• Deliver and track compliance training per regulators and Sysco policy; identify gaps and opportunities.
• Support workers’ compensation and claims processes and promote safe return-to-work.
• Partner with functional leaders to manage EHS resources, projects, and decisions.
• Contribute to standardized safety systems, policies, and programs to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Support environmental compliance and claims programs.
