Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Norwalk, California seeks an experienced Environmental Health, Safety & Sanitation (EHS&S) Manager to lead all health, safety, environmental, and sanitation programs at our nutraceutical manufacturing facility.

You will ensure OSHA/Cal/OSHA and FDA cGMP compliance, manage sanitation teams, drive continuous improvement, conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and training for staff and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS leadership experience in nutraceutical or food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, cleaning validation, environmental monitoring, and contamination control.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field; CSP/CIH/CHMM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain facility-wide EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, job hazard analyses, and audits.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage safety programs including LOTO, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, PPE, and Respiratory Protection.
• Oversee sanitation programs and sanitation contractor management.
• Track safety metrics and regulatory reporting.
• Provide safety training and coach leadership at all levels.
