Job summary

Responsibilities include incident investigations, OSHA/WISHA recordkeeping, EMS support, and cross‑functional risk assessments, with emphasis on training and employee engagement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Business Management, or related field.
• 3–6 years of progressive professional EHS experience in complex industrial operations.
• Experience interpreting OSHA and WISHA/DOSH regulations and managing reporting.
• Equivalent experience may be considered if it demonstrates full scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Champion a proactive safety culture with hazard awareness, safe behaviors, and continual improvement.
• Lead the Safety Committee with effective meetings, follow‑through, and engagement.
• Support emergency preparedness through planning, drills, equipment readiness, and documentation.
• Administer core safety programs such as lockout/tagout, contractor safety, and safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents and root causes; implement and verify corrective actions.
• Manage return‑to‑work and accommodation processes with HR and site leadership.
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A/301 logs and electronic submissions; determine recordability.
• Prepare DOSH incident reports and support inspections and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, WISHA/DOSH, WA EPA, and related regulations.
• Support EMS, environmental performance, and waste/air quality improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments and site inspections; track corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training and communicate safety expectations across departments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Physical Sciences, Business Management, or a related field.
