Job summary

GardenCore is hiring for a full-time safety-focused role in Powderly, TX. You will administer the plant safety program, maintain OSHA records, and support safety training and reporting to ensure compliance with regulations.

The position requires strong communication, detail orientation, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to uphold safety standards and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent in academic background and experience/training.
• High School degree or GED required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
• Detail-oriented with continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer the plant's Safety Program.
• Maintain all required OSHA documentation.
• Serve as Safety Committee Secretary.
• Maintain and adhere to the Plant Safety manual.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly safety reports.
• Assist in the preparation and submittal of permit applications to regulatory agencies.
• Order and maintain PPE and first aid supplies.
• Assist plant personnel with safety training.
• Maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
• Weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Complete new hire onboarding trainings.
• Enter and maintain data in on-site data/recordkeeping software.
• Inspect work environments for governmental conformance.
• Observe safety compliance and equipment use.
• Document findings and code violations for records.
