Job summary

GardenCore is seeking an EH&S & Quality Coordinator to administer the plant's safety program, manage OSHA documentation, and oversee quality in growing media and mulch products, including testing and compliance with specifications. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 1–3 years of related office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related office experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
• Detail-oriented with a dedication to continuous improvement and team building.
• Excellent verbal skills, written communication and presentations skills.
• Ability to work with diverse administrative, production and technical personnel to achieve goals.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Administer the plant’s Safety Program.
• Maintain all required OSHA documentation.
• Serve as Safety Committee Secretary.
• Maintain and adhere to the Plant Safety manual.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly safety reports.
• Assist in permit applications to regulatory agencies.
• Order and maintain PPE and first aid supplies.
• Assist with safety training for plant personnel.
• Maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
• Weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Onboard new hires and trainings.
• Data entry in on-site software for data and recordkeeping.
• Inspect work environments for governmental compliance.
• Observe and enforce safety precautions and equipment use.
• Document findings for regulatory proceedings.
• Complete monthly inspections and weekly meetings.
• Complete annual DEQ emission reports and permit compliance.
• Stay updated on new industry technologies and regulations.
• Track inbound/outbound materials.
