Job summary

LGC Diagnostics & Genomics is seeking an EH&S Coordinator to manage Environmental Health and Safety programs across laboratories and production spaces. You will implement processes compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, working with the EHS Director and staff to ensure safety across the site.

The role involves coordinating with laboratories and operational areas, leading inspections, and driving documentation and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 2 years industry experience.
• Good understanding of laboratory safety, chemical safety and general safety practices.
• Ability to learn new material quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to make decisions and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EH&S programs with the EHS Director and staff.
• Support day-to-day safety needs in laboratories and operational areas.
• Lead safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Lead Job Hazard Analysis and EH&S documentation processes.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and Spill Response team.
• Perform regular inspections and chemical inventory audits.
• Maintain EH&S records and supplies; ensure compliance.
