Planet Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Consultant to lead a portfolio of consulting and embedded services, pairing deep EHS expertise with account leadership to deliver client outcomes, grow relationships, and build a high-performing team.

You will connect on-site specialists with the consulting practice to maximize value for each client. The ideal candidate has broad EHS depth, a commercial mindset for proposals and engagement economics, and a history of solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one professional EHS certification (CSP/CIH/CHMM/CBSP or similar).
• Experience interpreting regulations including RCRA, OSHA, air and water requirements.
• Proven ability to lead proposals and manage engagement economics.
• Experience managing client accounts with renewal and growth responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex multi-disciplinary EHS assessments and programs across safety, hygiene, environmental compliance, biosafety, and process safety.
• Act as trusted advisor to client stakeholders at site and leadership levels, owning satisfaction and renewals.
• Support operations through technical delivery, project management, and quality control.
• Grow portfolio by identifying expansion opportunities and leading proposals.
• Manage multi-workstream engagements with scope, budget, and milestone control.
• Lead and develop a team of 6–10 EHS consultants.
• Provide training and technical guidance to the team.
• Spot opportunities from on-site observations and client conversations and convert to scoped engagements.
• Make pricing and scope decisions to optimize client value across services.
• Translate evolving regulatory requirements into practical programs to keep clients compliant.
