Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an EHS Consulting Manager to lead a portfolio of consulting and embedded services, pairing deep EHS expertise with account leadership to deliver client outcomes and grow relationships. You will bridge on-site specialists with our consulting practice and support embedded operations and EHS projects.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth with commercial acumen to lead proposals, manage engagement economics, and drive client value while coaching a 6–10 person EHS

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of progressive EHS consulting or corporate EHS experience.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• At least one professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, CBSP, or equivalent), held or pursued.
• Experience across two or more EHS disciplines with ability to interpret regulations.
• Experience managing client accounts with satisfaction, renewals, and growth.
• Experience leading and developing teams of consultants and on-site personnel.
• Proven ability to lead proposals and manage engagement economics.
• Strong written and verbal communication; travel 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary EHS assessments and programs spanning safety, hygiene, environmental compliance.
• Advise client site leaders, owning satisfaction, retention, and renewals.
• Support EHS operations through billable delivery, project management, quality control, and delivery oversight.
• Grow portfolio by identifying expansion opportunities and leading proposals.
• Manage multi-workstream engagements with scope, budget, and milestones.
• Develop and coach a team of 6–10 EHS consultants.
• Provide training and quality review of team work.
• Spot opportunities from on-site observations and client conversations; partner with sales to convert.
• Make pricing and scope decisions to maximize total client value.
• Translate evolving regulations into practical programs for clients.
