Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. seeks an EHS Specialist to provide internal consulting to site leaders, lab and warehouse managers, and retail operations support functions, shaping comprehensive environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company EHS standards.

The role focuses on developing and enforcing safety policies, delivering training curricula, conducting site safety audits, and coordinating regulatory reporting, with up to 25%

Qualifications

• RequiresBachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field.
• 4+ years of experience implementing facility-wide EHS programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations and state/local codes.
• Experience delivering training and maintaining EHS records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety and environmental policies and procedures per regulations and EHS programs.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections and inquiries.
• Administer employee safety training and track participation.
• Identify hazards via job hazard analysis and recommend controls.
• Review chemicals inventory and SDS library; ensure proper disposal documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and incident investigations.
• Audit workplace records for training, auditing, and OSHA 300 log posting.
• Prepare EHS permits, interpret regulations, and maintain written programs.
• Provide 24-hour response for emergencies or spills when needed.
• Educate personnel through train-the-trainer programs and maintain knowledge of evolving regulations.
• Stay informed on changes to federal/state industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental rules.
